Note area above where half of one ball is missing.
Note area above where "sticks" are naturally spliced behind a row of balls and the row has slid to one side. An easy fix. |
(inventory # UTC-span) Victorian Spandrels like these were used as filler pieces to span lengths between other more interesting elements. Decorative fretwork was often the center-piece for plainer stick and ball spandrels like these. We actually have three pieces of oak spandrels- the longest one is not pictured here. Each are made of oak with about a 1" ball held together in a mesh of oak dowels and framed top and bottom with a 3/4" square oak stock. The unpictured one is framed on all four sides. These can be trimmed to fit your needs. Finishes vary from old dark crusty finish, as seen on the short piece, to a very light finish on the middle size to a better old finish on the longest one. Restoration and refinishing is extra. Size ................ 12"
Tall x 61" Wide, Dark Finish in good condition: $350 as found.
