Zuid, Holland "Gouda" Vase
The early 1900's saw the Gouda Potteries turn to Art Potteries. Influenced by the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements, the artists expressed themselves with free forms and stylized designs in bold colors. This large vase in teals, lavender, celery green and basic greens has a stylized form with two handles and a free form style of plants around the perimeter. The glaze is a highly shinny glaze. The base of this piece is noted with a bit more information about it's import. Size ................ 11"
