Outstanding Mahogany Sideboard
(inventory # SJ-2)
This Colonial Revival mahogany buffet has many subtle details
that support the quality construction of this piece. Using select
ribbon grained wood for the bowed center case and matching mirror back,
it also has solid cast brass original bails. The beveled glass mirror
is distinctive for it's "continuous flow" starting right at the top surface
level. The mirror is framed on the three other sides with a recessed
curve, twin reeded columns and a dental molding and fine bead cap.
Each drawer face is framed with a fine bead of wood. The two tall
drawers on either side of the center cupboard actually house bottle holders
for your liquors. This piece has an abundance of drawer space.
Please note that because of the way the mirror is mounted, it does not
separate from the buffet easily.
