Royal Worcester Vase
(inventory # EE-203)

The delicate Nautilus shell vase is supported by gold coral and sits on a bed of pebbly sand littered with other shells.  the base is wreathed with alternating matt and satin luster gold of shells and corals.  Climbing up the side of the shell is a gold salamander complete with a delicately textured body.  There is a small amount of the gold rubbed off his nose.  The base shows the markings along with an incised 11/13.   After visiting the Royal Worcester web site to try to determine the age,  it's still unclear how to read the factory marks presented.  The piece does appear to be one of their earlier pieces- pre-1882.
