Original brass and brass plated bridge lamp with an exuberant winged griffin directing the sea serpent or dolphin to hold on to the light.  The pull chain socket is housed with an embossed sheath and finished with the original three thumbscrew adapter for your choice of 2 1/4" fitter shade. It has a swivel adjustment to allow you to direct the light.     The main column is wrapped in brass with an incised pattern and has two separate onyx balls as spacers.  The base is a brass plate with most of the plating still intact.  There is some degradation of the original surface where pitting has occurred but as you can see, it is fairly minor.  The lamp has been re-wired with modern wire and plug and ready to go.  One of the nicest, all original, bridge lamps we have had.
